Mambo is a Latin dance of Cuba. Mambo music was invented during the 1930s in Havana. The original form of the dance and music are alive and well in Cuba and in taught in dance studios in Mexico City.
Lambada is a dance from Brazil. The dance became internationally popular in the 1980s, especially in Latin America and Caribbean countries. It is generally danced with arched legs, with the steps being from side to side, turning or even swaying, and with a pronounced movement of the hips.
Zumba (Latin Aerobics)
Zumba is a Latin dance-inspired fitness program created during the 1990s. It involves dance & aerobic elements. Zumba's choreography incorporates hip-hop, samba, salsa, merengue, mambo, and belly dance moves. Squats and lunges are also included.
